The ARCL Sand Pouring Cylinder is a precision laboratory and field-testing apparatus used for determining the in-situ density and dry density of compacted soil by the sand replacement method. It is widely used in geotechnical and civil engineering applications to evaluate the degree of compaction achieved in soil, subgrade and earthwork construction. The apparatus consists of a calibrated sand-pouring cylinder with a controlled outlet arrangement, designed to allow uniform flow of standard sand into a prepared test hole. The measured volume of the excavated hole, together with the weight of soil removed, enables accurate determination of field density. Manufactured with durable and corrosion-resistant components, the ARCL Sand Pouring Cylinder is designed for reliable performance, easy handling and repeated field use.
