The EC 456B Coating Thickness Gauge is a compact digital Dry Film Thickness (DFT) Gauge designed for rapid and non-destructive measurement of coating thickness on both ferrous (Fe) and non-ferrous (NFe) metal substrates. The instrument uses magnetic induction for coatings on ferrous substrates such as steel and iron, and eddy-current technology for non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous substrates such as aluminum, copper and brass. It is suitable for measuring paint, varnish, enamel, powder coating, galvanizing, plating, anodizing and similar protective or decorative coatings.
