Operational Overview

The Accelerated Curing Tank (ACT) is a laboratory testing equipment used to accelerate the strength development of concrete test specimens by maintaining them at controlled elevated temperatures. It enables engineers and laboratories to obtain an early indication of concrete compressive strength, rather than waiting for the conventional 7- or 28-day curing period. As per IS 9013, accelerated curing includes warm-water and boiling-water methods. In the boiling-water method, specimens are immersed in water maintained around 100°C, following the prescribed curing procedure. ARCL Instruments Pvt.
